It's still the stupidity, stupid

Amid the utter imbecility of the Iran War, which our domestic Dear Leader can't decide is hot or not at any given moment, and the vindictive idiocy of our d.D.L.'s malicious prosecutions of critics and innocent passers-by (like those charged with vandalizing the Reflecting Pool merely because they fingered debris from the botched installation), I spotted another irrational (and therefore totally on-brand) move by the fathead in the Oval Office. It's not as immediately hurtful as malicious prosecutions or illegal attacks against other countries, but it will cost us all in the long run and I'm certain the fathead in the Oval will never be held to account for it.

His administration is now paying companies to abandon their wind power projects.

The Trump administration will pay the German energy firm RWE $1.22 billion to abandon plans to build wind farms off the coasts of New York, California and Louisiana, the company announced on Thursday.

It was the fifth such deal the government has reached this year to halt the development of offshore wind, a source of renewable energy that President Trump has derided for decades.

Here's the kicker, though:

The government would reimburse RWE roughly what the company had paid for the leases under the Biden administration. The settlement would also resolve any legal disputes over the leases, the company said. The company will invest about the same amount in new natural gas projects in the United States, it said.

So the fathead in the Oval didn't just kill the offshore wind farms, he got the company to build fossil-fuel power plants instead.

Fucking fossil-fuel plants! The kind whose emissions are changing our climate in ways that will make life more miserable for hundreds of years!

The Orange Moron simply does not give a shit about science, probably because his brain cannot cope with data and facts that don't conform to his diminishing grasp of reality. What's his excuse for opposing clean, relatively simple wind power? "Mr. Trump has called the technology ugly and costly".

Well, Mr. Fathead in the Oval, your puerile aesthetic sense doesn't entitle you to call anything (or anyone, for that matter) "ugly", and as for "costly", you've taken our national debt into the stratosphere and continue to waste millions on your corrupt "makeover" of D.C. In short, your judgment of "ugly and costly" is not credible.

It's also, lest we forget, beside the fucking point. If you and your fatheaded followers keep your heads stuck in the ground on what climate science has been telling us all for nearly half a century, the rest of us who are still in touch with reality will have no choice but to kick your exposed backsides till you stop your indefensible foolishness.
